The demand for personal protective equipment in Russia has grown sharply.

In September 2023, the demand for workwear, as well as individual respiratory and hand protection, has grown significantly. As it turned out, this year Russians are more actively interested in buying personal respiratory protection equipment – sales across the country increased by 45%.

The largest increase in demand among the regions was recorded in Yekaterinburg (+113 %). Voronezh is in second place in this indicator (+92%), and St. Petersburg is in third place (+58%). Moscow (+50%) and Nizhny Novgorod (+38%) were also in the top 5. The most popular are respirators, half masks and paint masks.

In addition, it was found that in September 2023, 84 percent more people bought personal protective equipment in the Russian Federation. In the regions at the moment, increased demand is noted in Nizhny Novgorod (+134%), as well as Kazan (+124%) and Perm (+119%). Samara (+111%) and Yekaterinburg (+100%) are also in the top five in this indicator. In this case, knitted gloves, cotton gloves, gloves with double latex coating and working gloves got into the top of the purchased goods.

Such data was shared by analysts of the company "VseInstrumenti.ru". They analyzed the demand for these products in September 2023 and compared these indicators with the same period last year.

It is also reported that the average receipt for the purchase of workwear and personal protective equipment in Russia today is 697 rubles. This is 9% less than it was in 2022, RIA "Moda" reports.
